Miranda Otto (natural 16 December, 1967) is an Australian actress who has worked mainly around film. Innate inside Brisbane, Queensland, she is the daughter of Australian actor Barry Otto. She is better known for swimming Éowyn in Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy.

In January 1, 2003, Miranda married fellow Australian actor Peter O'Brien. Within April 2005, she gave birth to a girl, Darcey, inside Australia.
